We are situated 45km North of Barkly East on the Lundeans Nek road, and 60 km West of Rhodes. GPS: 30°42’43.83?S 27°41’54.49?E

From Barkly East drive towards Lady Grey for about 3 km. Turn right to Wartrail or New England and follow all the big brown signs to ‘Tiffindell Valley Destinations’ in particular ‘Balloch Cottages,’ for about 37 km. * Having just travelled down and down and down a 4 km long mountain pass, you will see our well sign posted turn out to the left immediately before crossing the Vlooikraal river. Another 5 km and you are there.*

From Lady Grey go in the direction of Barkly East for 40 km and then take the turn left to New England or Lundeans Nek. Follow the TVD signs for 35 km and continue as above from *.

From Rhodes follow the signs to Wartrail and then to New England. When you cross the Vlooikraal river turn right at the sign to Balloch. 5km and you are there.

If you choose to follow the directions on 'Google Maps' they choose the shortest route but these routes are only to be followed if you want a real adventure. The roads are all gravel and in some places in extremely bad condition. So please find out from us about the condition of these roads before embarking on your trip.
